PREPARING YOUR INFLATABLE PADDLE BOARD FOR STORAGE

Cleaning and Drying

Do the same for your accessories!

We recommend using a Ph neutral eco-friendly soap to properly wash the paddle board.

SECURE STORAGE CONDITIONS

Temperature Considerations

Temperature changes impact inflatable paddle boards, affecting material flexibility, inflation pressure, and adhesive strength. Store in a cool place, adjust inflation based on weather, and avoid extreme temperatures for prolonged periods to maintain board integrity.

Humidity Control

Optimal humidity control during inflatable paddle board storage is vital to prevent mold, maintain material integrity, and avoid odors and discoloration. Choose a dry storage location, use moisture absorbers, and conduct regular inspections for prolonged board durability.

STORING TECHNIQUES WITH OR WITHOUT A BAG

Storing with a Board Bag

Advantages

  • More Compact
  • Protected by the Board Bag
  • Dust Proof

Disadvantages

  • long term folding can create folding marks on the eva pad
  • Accessories in the bag can scratch the board (If not packaged safely)

Storage tips

  • Properly deflate and roll your board into the bag.
  • Ensure fin boxes are over the rolled board.
  • Take the time to place your accessories in the bag (Tip, you can use towel to protect them from scratching the board).
  • Avoid adding up weight over the bag to minimize the pressure on the board.
  • AVOID places were vermin can eat your board! We've seen it 🐭

Storing without a Board Bag

Advantages

  • No folding marks to appear on the eva pad
  • No PVC folding

Disadvantages

  • Takes a lot of space
  • The board is not protected by a bag

Storage Tips

  • If the board is stored inflated, only inflate it to 4-6 PSI to avoid stress on materials on a long term period.
  • Use board racks to hand it to the wall
  • SUP Burrito Technic : Just loosely roll your board, like a burrito, to avoid creases by winter's end. You can then place it in a wardrobe, heated garage, room, etc.
  • Folded in half under the bed will limit marks on eva pad and won't take much living space.
  • AVOID places were vermin can eat your board! We've seen it 🐭
