1. KEW BALMY BEACH

Just a 20-minute drive from downtown Toronto, it's a favorite with locals. It's easy to get to, and perfect for families. A wooden walkway makes it easy to walk along the beach, and there's a small restaurant nearby where you can enjoy a burger and ice cream. You can also rent paddle boards directly on site, so don't worry if you don't own one.

2. SCARBOROUGH BUFFS

A short 30-minute drive from Toronto is required to get here, but the drive is definitely worth it. This place will make you feel like you're somewhere else. You'll have to hike to get to the water, but the trail has no elevation gain and is very well marked. Just remember to wear appropriate footwear and stay hydrated. Since the trail is super-accessible, you shouldn't have any trouble getting to the water with your inflatable SUP on your back.
